ISOM ORTHOPEDICS

Founded in Istanbul in 2000 by Dr. İsmail Yılmaz, ISOM, Istanbul's first private “Orthopedics and Traumatology Center”, has served more than 100 thousand patients in the fields of knee, neck, hip and other orthopedic disorders and physical therapy for 25 years.
Expanding its services by adding Physiotherapy and Alternative Medicine departments, the center offers quality and comprehensive healthcare services on both sides with modern technology and expert physiotherapist staff, aiming to reduce and prevent patients' pain and improve their quality of life.

Op. Dr. İsmail Yılmaz

Dr. İsmail Yılmaz is one of Turkey's leading orthopedics and traumatology specialists. He started in 1979 and completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and started his medical career.
Following his graduation, he worked as a general practitioner at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital between 1985 and 1988, where he also played critical roles as the Head of Emergency Air and Land Ambulance Service and Protocol Service Manager. This period allowed Dr. Yılmaz to develop his skills in emergency medicine.
Areas of Expertise
Between 1988 and 1992, he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Emergency Aid and Traffic Hospital in Ankara. After completing his residency, he worked at the Baltalimani Bone Diseases Hospital in Istanbul from 1993 to 2002. This period marked an important turning point in Dr. Yılmaz's career, as he increased his clinical skills and his ability to communicate with patients.
  • Arthroscopy: Using advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques, it treats intra-articular problems with minimally invasive methods.
  • Arthroplasty: Specializes in the reconstruction of deformed or damaged joints, especially hip and knee joints, with prostheses.
  • Trauma: He has extensive experience in the surgical treatment and rehabilitation of various traumatic injuries.
Dr. Yılmaz also received special training on arthroscopic surgery under the supervision of Dr. Unal Tanker in Germany in 1998 and has advanced his knowledge in this field at the international level. Dr. Yılmaz, who is a member of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBİD), continues his efforts to improve the quality of patient care by keeping his professional knowledge and experience up-to-date.
Dr. İsmail Yılmaz is known for his patient-oriented approach, continuous education and multidisciplinary treatment methods. His achievements throughout his career in Turkey and internationally have made him a pioneer in his field.
